Question 1

What does the vastu verifier do?

Accepted Answer

It compares each piece of advice you've been given by a vastu consultant — a room placement, a direction, and the consultant's claim of ideal or avoid — against the cited rule catalog (51 rules, 99 classical-text references). For each claim it returns matches, contradicts, or unverified, plus an overall agreement rate.

Question 2

How is "agreement rate" calculated?

Accepted Answer

Of all verifiable claims (matches + contradicts), agreement rate = matches / verifiable. Unverified claims are excluded from the denominator. A rate above 70% suggests your consultant is well-calibrated to classical sources; below 30% suggests their advice diverges significantly from the cited rule set.

Question 3

What classical sources back the catalog?

Accepted Answer

Mayamatam (Tamil, ~10th c. CE), Manasara (Sanskrit, ~5th-7th c.), Samarangana Sutradhara (King Bhoja, 11th c.), Brihat Samhita ch. 53 (Varahamihira, 6th c.), Vishvakarma Vastu Shastra, Vastu Ratnavali. Every rule citation is browseable at /vastu/rule/[id].

Question 4

Does "contradicts" mean my pandit is wrong?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily. Vastu has multiple regional schools (South Indian Mayamatam, North Indian Manasara, Tamil Aindra) and they sometimes prescribe different placements. A contradiction means your pandit's advice diverges from the catalog — investigate which school they're drawing from and decide whether the divergence is principled or mistaken.

Question 5

Is my advice data sent to a server?

Accepted Answer

No. The verifier runs entirely in your browser — the rule catalog and the comparison engine are both client-side JavaScript. Nothing leaves your device.
